CLEARING, VEREY GALLERY, ETON COLLEGE, WINDSOR, ENGLAND, 2012
30 May - 23 September 2012
CLEARING was an exhibition of a single sculpture, FEELING MATERIAL XXXV (2008), shown alongside a number of works on paper.
Speaking on the drawing, Gormley has said:
'Tracks, whether of skis in the snow, wet footprints on a floor, the fugitive lines of the wake of a boat, the loops of a swift's flight-path, are things all forms of life and living make. Some are visible, some not; some permanent, some not. Drawing has a relation of this registering of energy and expression of life.'
