HA HA: CONTEMPORARY BRITISH ART IN AN 18TH CENTURY GARDEN,KILLERTON PARK, DEVON, ENGLAND, 1993
19 June - 31 October 1993
This exhibition celebrated the rich diversity of contemporary art sited in the context of a cultivated landscape. In responding to the distinctive qualities of a fashionable English park, the artists realised a whole range of creative aspirations that refer directly to chosen locations. POST (1993) continues the tradition of placing heroes on pedastals but it replaced the column with a tree, the hero with an iron-cast but naked everyman.
