Solo exhibition including A CASE FOR AN ANGEL I (1989), BARING LIGHT I (1989), ROOM IV (1990), SEEDS II (1989/93) and WITNESS (1988).

The main work in this exhibition was the 27-foot wing-span CASE FOR AN ANGEL I, a lead-covered mould taken from Gormley's body, which was married to specially made glider wings. The work stands upright, axial to the space. The wings formed a barrier, or membrane across it. The viewer was thus implicated in a field that is a foil to passage or a barrier to vision - while also holding the promise of transcendence. 

In the second room was a single work, BARING LIGHT I, a case for a four-month-old girl with its navel plugged with a red rubber stopper. This became the focus of energy for the entire room; the point of transference between the potential within the case and the space without.
