BETWEEN YOU AND ME opened at the Kunsthal Rotterdam on 12 July 2008, and toured to the Musee d'Art Moderne St Etienne, France. Artium, Spain was the third and final venue. Displaying work from the late 1970s to the present day, the exhibition explored Gormley's ongoing concern with the body as a place of memory and transformation. Works exhibited at Artium included EUROPEAN FIELD (1993), SENSE (1991), BREAD LINE (1979), REFLECTION II (2008), MOTHERS PRIDE III (2007), SEEDS III (1990), QUANTUM VOID II (2008), FREEFALL (2007), BLANKET DRAWING V (1983), SOVEREIGN STATE (1989/90), DIAPHRAGM (1995), STANDING MATTER XVI (2009), TOUCH (2008), DOMAIN LXVIII (2009) and SUBLIMATE XXI (2008). CRITICAL MASS II (1995) was shown as part of the exhibition until the beginning of June 2009.
