LOT, CASTLE CORNET, GUERNSEY, CHANNEL ISLANDS, 2009
Antony Gormley installed LOT in Castle Cornet, the ancient harbour fortress in picturesque St Peter Port in Guernsey. The project was a part of the 'Art and Islands' initiative, which invited and commissioned artists from around the world to work on, and respond to, Guernsey and its surrounding islands. LOT was comprised of five 'Insider' cast iron sculptures and one lead bodycase sculpture, DIAPHRAGM (1995), strategically positioned around the castle ramparts - like sentinels against the sky.
