Two simultaneous exhibitions at Sean Kelly Gallery and R Gallery, entitled STRUCTURES AND SURFACES, included furniture by Poul Kjærholm, one of the most significant furniture designers of the 20th century, and works by contemporary artists including Antony Gormley, Louise Lawler, Harry Callahan, Pierre Soulages, Hiroshi Sugimoto, Ellsworth Kelly, Donald Judd, Vija Celmins, Iran do Espírito Santo, Frank Thiel, Callum Innes, Gerhard Richter, Roy Lichtenstein and Alexander Calder.
