Solo exhibition which included a major new sculpture, LOST SUBJECT I (1994), alongside a number of works on paper that offered a highly personal, poetic, meditative responses, bearing witness to a singular experience of being in the world.

As in earlier work, the starting point for LOST SUBJECT I was a mould taken from the artist's own body, which is used as a vehicle for feeling. This work, however, signalled a radical new development: the mould, previously left void, was used to produce an exact equivalent of this body in an attitude of extreme relaxation. This work engaged with the tension between a libidinous, palpable, spontaneous exposure of a particular body and the distanced, generlised 'idea' of the body through the hermetic medium of a carefully soldered and sectioned lead skin which covers the entire surface.
