Dancer and choreographer Akram Khan curated the second exhibition as part of The Lowry's 'Performer as Curator' series.

Taking the central themes of contrast and opposites, the exhibition explored the traditional and the contemporary, youth and experience, doubt and certainty, light and dark, truth and fiction through the work of international artists which included Antony Gormley, Anish Kapoor, Nadav Kander, Darvish Fakhr, Serena Smith, Kate MccGwire and Miz Nakaishi. Also featured were films by Anahita Ghazvinizadeh and Rosemary Lee & Peter Anderson.
