An exhibition of new work by Antony Gormley opens at Galerie Xavier Hufkens, Brussels on 17 September 2009. The main room of the gallery will be occupied by a new work, FIRMAMENT III. The room will be entirely filled with the a polyhedral space-frame into which the body of the viewer is invited to wander. Completely negating the orthogonal geometries of regular architecture, this aggregate surrounds a void: a human-shaped cave more than ten times life size. A catalogue will accompany the exhibition including a text by the British physicist and cosmologist Roger Penrose.
